Paul Norton to Join Hitachi America, Ltd.’s Ubiquitous Platform Systems Division
SAN DIEGO – July 9, 2007 – Hitachi America, Ltd. announced today that Paul Norton has joined the company’s Ubiquitous Platform Systems Division, which focuses on providing advanced digital products to businesses and consumers. Mr. Norton joins the company as director of sales, Eastern Zone and Buying Groups.
Mr. Norton has more than 25 years experience in sales and relationship management. He most recently served as executive director, sales for the Americas for Hannspree California Inc. where he was responsible for providing retail industry leadership and bringing to market the company’s LCD televisions and IT monitors. During his time at Hannspree, Mr. Norton recruited and trained regional sales directors and secured premium product placements with department stores, national CE/IT retailers and specialty chains.
Prior to Hannspree, Mr. Norton worked as the sales director, specialty retail group for the Hewlett-Packard Company. In this role, Mr. Norton designed and implemented a synergist business model and go-to-market strategy for mass merchant, warehouse club, e-commerce and specialty channels for Compaq/HP branded product lines. Mr. Norton was the sales director, consumer products division for Compaq Computer Corporation before the merger with HP. Prior to Compaq, Mr. Norton was with Toshiba America Consumer Products as VP, National Accounts.
Mr. Norton graduated from Fairfield University with a degree in Business.
